Agency copywriting is perfect for

  • Time-poor agencies or those without an in-house copywriter who need regular or ad-hoc copywriting they can trust.
  • Agencies who’d love the flexibility and support of a remote team member.
  • Tackling those large documents or projects that have done the rounds internally and need fresh eyes, clarity or a final proofread.

Our work together could look like:

  • One-off project support
  • Regular copy gigs
  • A retainer arrangement.

You can count on me to share the load

With a background in teaching, I spent more than a decade working in and leading teams. Since then I’ve worked as a remote team member or agency copywriter for clients in local government, corporate, edtech, higher education, health, NFP, design and more.

I’ve worked in-house and remotely with several Melbourne agencies, so I get it. I’m a natural with style guidelines, responding to shifting priorities and taking deadlines, well, deadly seriously.

Your questions, answered.

Yes please: things like education, health and wellness, professional services, architecture and design. No thanks: along the lines of financial services, tech, legal and IT. I’d be happy to refer you on, though!

Obviously I’m going to say both. But if I had to pick one, I’d say long form is where I’m really in flow as a writer. Thought leadership pieces, website copywriting, blogs, case studies, you get the picture.

Like a lot of other copywriters, I don’t charge by the hour. Instead I charge per project (once we’ve had a chat to nut out the brief) or you can ‘buy my day’ – currently $797 + GST.

Get in touch via my contact form as early as possible, especially if you have an external deadline. ‘Buy my day’ means a day – 7 hours – of my full attention and focus on your project. Plus, we’ll have a call before the day to set everything up and make sure we’re on the same page.

Emma’s copywriting
has been invaluable.

When we need an extra hand with words, we always know we can rely upon Emma to deliver. Her ability to readily grasp the content, tone of voice and commercial goal of a brief has made her a valuable part of the team on many projects. A born communicator and natural collaborator, it’s little wonder she is in high demand.
