6 years ago today I registered my ABN and started my business with a dream. To create a new career for myself, away from classroom teaching. I wanted to explore my creativity. To work flexibly. To find that elusive work-life balance.
It was one thing to break away from a career of more than a decade. It was another to make a go of it in the small business world – about which I knew pretty much zip. It didn’t all go to plan (surprise, surprise!). But yet I persisted. I’ve continued to edge closer to a business that truly represents me.
I’ve taken some time to reflect on what’s changed or evolved, especially in the past 12 months. In today’s episode, I’m sharing my top six lessons – in the hope that some of these might be helpful or valuable for you on your own journey.
